Looking to rehome two rescued parakeets.
I took these two in last year and would love to find them a permanent home. The previous owner always kept them together, and they get along well when sharing an enclosure, but would do well separately or kept with other birds of the same species. The budgie is much higher energy than the cockatiel.
Currently kept in a giant Midwest Critter Nation cage without the shelves that I converted into a flight cage. If taken together, will come with the cage, all their toys, food and accessories. Fed a mix of seed and roudybush pellets. 300 for both with cage. If you're interested in taking one or both birds alone, without the cage, we can settle on a price (something to cover gas for delivery).
They are shy but friendly. Both were hand-tamed and trained to step up at one point, but it's been about a year since they've been handled consistently, so it will take some time, patience, and trust building before they're hand-tame again. The cockatiel takes a while to adjust to new places and new people. Both LOVE Disney music as they used to live in a household with young kids.
