HomeRiver Group is looking for a solution oriented problem solver to join our Maintenance Technician team in the Property Services Group. We are looking for a results driven, skilled technician who can perform a variety of general maintenance and repair work for a multi family property. The maintenance technician is responsible for identifying and correcting problems involving the properties, and handle all phases of task relating to the completion of work orders. HomeRiver Group is offer a one time bonus in the amount of $1,000 to be paid after the first 90 days of employment. Core Duties include: Inspect and triage property issues to determine necessary repairs Complete approved scope of work based on a budget and timing constraints including light plumbing and electrical, HVAC (if certified), carpentry, drywall, painting, etc. Work with the maintenance coordinator, property inspector, property managers and outside vendors to determine additional budget and scope as needed Log and maintain notes and photographs on completed work orders to be reported back to maintenance coordination team Maintain company vehicles, if applicable and ensure correct parts and inventory are present at the beginning of the day Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated experience as maintenance technician. High level of critical thinking/problem solving skills to diagnose issues and recommend solutions. Self starter with ability to work independently. Ability to operate with a sense of urgency. Ability to manage time and projects to ensure completion in allotted time. Experience with repair and installation of basic light plumbing and electrical, appliances, drywall repair, painting, carpentry, rekeying locks, and other general repairs. Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods. Ability to use an iPad and other technology as needed in the performance of daily tasks to maintain schedule, accurate service ticket notes, system updates, inspections, etc. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent 3+ year(s) in hands-on Property Maintenance Appliance and HVAC certification highly recommended Must have strong interpersonal skills and drive to provide superior customer service to all parties Self-starter attitude and ability to prioritize, handle multiple assignments, exercise judgement, and take ownership of projects in absence of direct supervision Team Player with strong work ethic, pro-active orientation, who can anticipate needs, is assertive, and highly accountable, with a mature and positive attitude A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required in order to drive the provided company vehicle HomeRiver Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer About HomeRiver Group HomeRiver Group is an integrated national platform offering world-class property management services to owners and tenants in the single family and small multifamily rental (SFR) markets.
