Description

The Groundskeeper is responsible for overseeing all grounds maintenance at the winery, including the programming and operation of the grounds irrigation system(s). The Groundskeeper reports to the Facilities Administrator ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Mow lawn areas and all other areas as needed or directed. • Safely perform operation of mowers, tractors with shredders, hedge trimmers, string trimmers, chain saws and small hand tools in performing job assignments. • Edge along all curbs, sidewalks and hardscapes as needed or directed. • Shovel sand, gravel and/or mulch as needed or directed. • Hand remove weeds as needed or directed. • Road repair Minimum Requirements • Must be legally able to work in United States • Must be able to pass a thorough background check • Able to speak, read and write English competently • Possess a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a reliable vehicle • Must possess basic hand and power tools and the knowledge to use them • One or more years of property maintenance-related work experience • Must be able to accomplish tasks with minimum supervision • Communicate effectively and productively with supervisors, staff, customers and vendors • Able to handle basic maintenance • Physical Requirements: o to lift, carry, pull or push 50 lbs. o climb stairs, step stools or ladders, twist, crouch, kneel or crawl frequently during the course of a day o spend extended periods of time standing o bend over to pick up items from ground level, turn from side to side o walk on even or uneven surfaces frequently during the course of a day o use arms, wrists and hands to grasp, squeeze, manipulate or operate machinery frequently during the course of a day o tolerate changes in weather and be able to complete tasks inside and outside Compensation Negotiable, based on experience Benefits Time Off Holidays
