*** APPLY IN PERSON ONLY *** AT: JEFFREY ALLEN GOLF CARS 1812 N GOLDENROD RD ORLANDO, FL 32807 Job Description: The prep technician assembles golf carts and utility vehicles (including installation of electrical accessories), performs light repairs and preventative maintenance work such as oil changes and battery replacements, and cleans and details the vehicles before delivery. No experience working on golf carts is required, but work experience as a mechanic or hands-on service technician in the automotive or equipment industry is highly recommended. Starting pay will be determined by the candidate's length of work experience in similar roles. This role can lead to opportunities for advancement into more senior technician roles, by learning more advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on the job. Job Responsibilities: Follow written and verbal instructions as well as hands-on training for assembly and repairs Read schematics, diagrams, and maintenance manuals and identify correct repair parts Communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, with team members and managers Complete assembly and repairs in a timely and professional manner Accurately track time spent on each repair and keep accurate written records of the work performed Maintain a high level of efficiency and productivity as measured in repair hours per day and per month Compensation and Benefits: Starting pay rate of $13/hour, paid weekly Overtime is occasionally available, especially in our busy season (overtime is paid at 1.5x the regular pay rate) PLUS quarterly incentive bonuses based on achievement of individual and department goals Industry leading employee benefits package: Florida Blue health insurance plans (4 to choose from) with company contribution Also available: vision insurance, dental insurance, hospitalization / accident / disability insurance (Aflac-style plans), life insurance, Flex Spending Account, and more Spouse and dependents can be added to most insurance plans 401(k) retirement savings plan available Paid vacation time Paid sick time Paid holidays Additional bonuses for tenure with the company Candidate Requirements: Ability to use common shop tools Ability to read and understand service manuals, diagrams, and schematics Excellent attention to detail Positive attitude and great people skills Good communication skills, both verbal and written Must own your own hand tools and be able to lift 60 lbs Must be able to work at a fast pace and meet deadlines assigned Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and have a clean driving record Must pass a background check and motor vehicle records check We are a drug free workplace
