Description

I’ve been following the sad events in Florida where the building collapsed. Initially, trained responders carefully dismantled the wreckage, seeking signs of life, and trying to save survivors. After a week without hearing noises, they are bringing in the heavy equipment to tear down what’s left standing. When it comes to us, I realize that there’s nothing of my hopes that are left to save. When I last visited, there were no signs of life. Not a soul to save or even a body left to recover. I needed to bring a trowel and a brush to sweep through the crushed fragments of that lost dream. All is futile and striving against the wind.
