JOB SUMMARY We are looking for an experienced warehouse worker to participate in our warehouse operations and activities in a fast paced environment. This position will perform an array of functions that include: receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse, and inventory. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction while maintaining a safe working environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Take product orders and verify if items are available in stock. • Pull orders from storage areas and compare them with Picking Sheets/Order Forms. • Ship materials, ensure ordered quantities are picked correctly and prepare shipping documents. • Choose appropriate packing materials and containers and pack products in accordance to product safety protocols. • Assist in unloading containers from the forklifts and loading them on delivery trucks • Receive product deliveries from vendors and ensure that items are properly received, stored and logged on receiving logs. • Assist with monthly inventory or as needed including cycle count inventory; maintaining stocking orders. • Create delivery and shipment reports and ensure that all information is keyed into the company database. • Maintain both shipping and receiving logs. • Move raw materials to the production areas and finished products to the storage areas. • Optimizes use of warehouse space, while ensuring cleanliness of all work areas; warehouse & inventory locations. SKILLS REQUIRED/ QUALIFICATIONS • High school education, plus additional years of continuing education with emphasis on warehousing systems. • Minimum of 3-5 years of previous warehouse experience. • Skilled in Forklift operations; Forklift certified. • Able to lift 50 lbs. • Must be skilled in the organization & management of time, resources & able to work under pressure. • Solid basic math skills. • Basic computer skills - A plus: Microsoft office programs and Microsoft Windows operating systems. Computer skills requirements include working with Excel spreadsheets, contact management and quoting software, daily data entry, and email communications with clients and vendors. • Able to work independently with a positive “can do” attitude. • The ideal candidate will be driven to succeed and have a strong desire to have completely satisfied customers. • Bilingual capabilities not required, but are a plus.
