Description

I am a bass player looking for a working or soon-to-be working band. I want to play out...not practice for eternity. Playing well and playing nicer venues ( an occasional dive is OK) is what I am looking for. Playing for free for friends, parties and fund-raisers because you aren't good enough ( or don't have a full 4 hrs of material ) is NOT my goal. I am not opposed to the occasional benefit. Not interested in heavy, negative, totally distorted music. Just not what I want to play. Also no original bands. I am interested in cover bands. Looking at the bands that are working out there, it really isn't that hard to be good enough to get hired and be paid. It does mean that a band has to be skilled at getting gigs and knowing what the venues expect. Looking for like-minded musicians. I'm older, have excellent equipment, good transp, and a good work ethic. I can sing some leads in my vocal range and sing excellent backup/harmony. I come prepared to rehearse. If you are established, all I need is a song list with the keys and versions you play. I have subbed for bands with only a week or so to learn a whole set list of classis rock and pulled it off a few times. I can be up to speed pretty quick if you have gigs on the calendar and just lost your bass player. Looking for long term and nice people. I am a mellow guy that does his best to get along with others. Email through Craigslist email first.
