Are you interested in participating in a study investigating the medication Chantix and a placebo for smoking cessation? ALL STUDY VISITS ARE BY PHONE. THERE ARE NO IN-PERSON VISITS TO A STUDY SITE You will be asked to: • Use a study medication for up to 12 weeks • Participate for 6 months, including up to 8 monthly phone visits (about 8 hours total time). All study visits are by phone. There are no in-person visits to a study site. • Answer questions regarding your smoking status and experience while taking the medication • Respond to text messages daily for the first two weeks of the study (only 25% of participants) • Provide periodic urine samples for at-home tests of your smoking status You may qualify if you: • Are a regular smoker who is at least 21 years old • Would like to quit smoking • Are available to attend phone visits over the next 6 months • Are willing to respond to several text messages per day for the first two weeks of the study Participants may be compensated up to $460 if you qualify. Study being conducted by LA Clinical Trials LLC, but you can live anywhere in the US to participate. Call 818 526 7645 if you are interested. Participation is voluntary.
