Description

Hello! I am holding a dog at my ranch as a courtesy to the owners who are hopefully looking for this sweet girl. She was found on 2nd Street East in Palmdale on the 4th of July. Obviously running fearful from the fireworks, a kind good samaritan picked her up. I offered to scan her for a chip with my reader but was unable to find one. She was not wearing a collar when found. I think she is either a lab/husky mix or a Border Collie/lab/husky mix. She looks a lot like a blond border collie. Just a guess at the breed! The good samaritan housed her for several days and made many attempts to find her family but so far have not had any luck. Since I have a kennel-licensed property, the finders reached out and asked if I could take her, and I agreed to foster while continuing to look for her family. A few things I noticed today, was that she is not afraid of strangers so appears to be well socialized. She seems like she is good around other dogs. She appears to be mid-age. My best guess would be around 6 or 7. She was likely kept outdoors because she needs to be groomed, and she went straight into a dog house to take a nap. My own dogs won't ever go inside the dog house! If this is your dog or you know someone who is missing her, please contact me. Owners will need to prove that she is theirs to ensure her safety. In the meantime, I will keep her safe and comfortable until she is returned to her rightful family.
