Seeking part-time building porter / superintendent

We manage two townhouse (one has 3 units and the other 4 units) buildings in East Harlem. We are looking for a part-time porter / superintendent for both buildings. The primary activities are: - Placement of trash & recyclables for collection - Cleaning of the building common areas (halls and stairs) - Cleaning of exterior (front area and sidewalk) of the buildings As needed activity examples include: - Changing light bulbs in common areas / building rooms / front of building - Changing batteries in building sensors for common areas / building rooms - Check tenant issues. o If simple repair that is within comfort level complete directly o If more advanced, communicate to management so workers can be sent Personal skills required: - Clear communication so property management knows of issues and any activities completed - Ability to provide friendly interactions and timely responses to tenants; even if to say it is something beyond your ability so the office will coordinate with them - Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently - Reliable Job is well suited as extra work since activities can be completed after hours.
