The detail oriented, hands-on professional we seek will cover interior walls and ceilings of rooms with decorative wallpaper or fabric by performing the following duties: Can hang multiple sized wall covering. Measures walls and ceiling to compute number and length of strips required to cover surface. Using various adhesives. Prepare a wall for wall covering after old wall covering removal. Demonstrate knowledge of using “shoe knife”, and other tools specific to wall covering. Marks vertical guideline on wall to align first strip. Smooth rough spots on walls and ceilings. Fills holes and cracks. Measures and cuts strips from roll of wallpaper or fabric. Mixes paste to desired consistency. Trims selvage (rough edge) from strips. Places paste coated strips on wall or ceiling to match edges of adjacent strips, and smooth with smoothing brush, blade or applicable tools to remove bubbles and wrinkles. Adjust sheets on wall to match patterns. Carpenter would hang wood strips Qualifications: 3 – 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in commercial grade products Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Positions starts 7/8/21 at 7:30pm 3rd shift This can lead to permanent positions
