Outdoor screening of Disney/Pixar's Coco with opening performance by ArtistiCO featuring Mariachi Sol De Mi Tierra. Sunset Cinema is back and moving to Sculpture Park! This summer, we have a great lineup of films made possible by Denver Film and pre-show entertainment presented by some fantastic local groups. All events are FREE and suitable for the whole FAMILY. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with local food trucks on site curated by Mile High Festivals. Please do not bring outside food or drinks except for a factory-sealed or empty water bottle. Opening performances will hit the stage at 7 p.m. and films will begin at dusk. Bring your chairs, blankets, family and friends down to Sculpture Park at the Arts Complex and enjoy the show! About the Film: PG | 1h 46min. In Disney/Pixar’s vibrant tale of family, fun and adventure, aspiring young musician named Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) embarks on an extraordinary journey to the magical land of his ancestors. There, the charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael Garcia Bernal) becomes an unexpected friend who helps Miguel uncover the mysteries behind his family’s stories and traditions. About the Performance: Directed by Alfonso Meraza and Jose Rosales, ArtistiCo dancers showcase colorful stories from various regions within Mexico, set to live music from Mariachi Sol De Mi Tierra. ArtistiCO is an artistic platform created as a bridge to connect professional artists to the community through dance and movement. Founders, Jose (Chepe) Rosales & Alfonso (Poncho) Meraza Prudente are former principal soloists of the internationally renowned Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández. Chepe and Poncho created ArtistiCO to offer a safe and inclusive space for artists to showcase their talent, passion and artistic expertise. ArtistiCO's continued mission is to uplift the Latin@ culture through artistry and dance.
