We are creating a bold new line of old-world Italian style cheeses and we're looking for excited, team-oriented, motivated, and hardworking individuals who have a passion for food production and the desire to be part of a great company! Description Sanitation / Production Line This position is a hybrid between our production and sanitation teams, providing a valuable support role in each area. The first half of the shift is working in line with the production team, then transitions to the sanitation team with end of day cleaning and janitorial tasks. Production Responsibilities: • Perform an assortment of assisted tasks on the production line from the making, preparation, and packaging of our cheese production • Assist in the production of cheese in designated floor section of the day includes: cutting cheese, hucking cheese into cheese line, pulling cheese out of the line, assisting floor leads with the cheese make of the day. • Assist in the post production of cheese care: which includes assist with cheese shredding, cheese packaging, moving cheese through aging phases of the facility. • Assist in treatment of care of aging cheese: includes washing cheese, flipping cheese, moving cheese from one room to another, and packaging. Loading product into packaging equipment • Assist in pre-packaging inside production of product when needed Sanitation Responsibilities Perform an assortment of tasks for the cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, tools and facilities in accordance to food safety standards. Which Includes: • Assist with daily cleaning and sanitizing of food contact equipment including processing equipment, buckets, bins, trays, and various utensils. • Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks as assigned on the Master & Daily Sanitation Checklist • Use and work with soap, chemical, and sanitizer foamers to spray down and scrub equipment • Properly complete all required sanitation documentation in a timely manner • This position is a part of the closing sanitation crew therefore is required to work the closing shift Qualifications Include: Prior sanitation or food manufacturing experience preferred, but not required Positive attitude and reliable attendance Reliable Transportation Strong work ethic to follow through all tasks until completed well Willing to work collaboratively with the team, as well as efficiently with little supervision Clean & tidy appearance, strict adherence with food safety standards Able to work in a wet and humid environment, lift up to 50 lbs, climb, stoop, crouch and kneel as needed Reports to: Section Floor Lead (Morning Check in) & Closing Sanitation Lead (Closing Check In) Schedule: 8 am – 6 pm, Mon-Fri (and Saturday Availability as needed) Benefits: Medical, Sick, Vacation, Holiday, End of the Year Bonus Program, Opportunity to grow with company Pay Ranges is based on Cheesemaker Levels 1, 2, & 3 ranges anywhere between $16.00 - $25 and is adjusted based on experience or gained knowledge.
