Meaningful conversations with other parents and caregivers on the joys and struggles of parenting with the opportunity to learn the Basics! What is a parent cafe? It’s a place where parents and caregivers can have the time and space (without children interrupting!) to have meaningful conversations with other parents and caregivers on the joys and struggles of parenting and learn from each other. Each café will feature one of the five Basics. The Basics are 5 simple but fun ways we can boost brain development in young children. Tell me more! We know your time is important! Participants will be compensated with gift cards for each session attended. It is not required to attend all 6 sessions, but those who do will receive bonus gift cards. Fathers, mothers, grandparents, etc. who live in University Village and are caretakers of children ages 0-5 can attend. Social distancing will be in place and masks are required. To-go meals will be provided at the end of each session along with a gift card. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! IDPH Guidelines will be followed - masks, social distancing, etc.
