This training offers education about the effects that toxic stress has on the brain and subsequently childhood development. Building Strong Brains is an initiative from the state of Tennessee meant to raise public knowledge about ACEs. The Addicted Brain training seeks to reduce the stigma associated with addiction by offering you information about the brain's reward circuit and how it works. Shame resilience theory teaches in order to go from feeling isolated and powerless to feeling connected and powerful, a person must be willing to recognize what causes their shame and talk about it. There emphasis on the importance of empathy and compassion in building a resilient community. This training seeks to help you build your knowledge base in order to have a greater capacity to empathize when the opportunity arises. Hope to see you there.
