Get your tickets for the TMT Film Festival Today! GOAL The goal is to capture your imagination and educate you about issues you might not know much about. The festival champions the service work of sororities, fraternities, churches, nonprofits, and civic organizations. This festival is a way to maximize impact, to help raise awareness, and support the good that is happening in the world! OUR MISSION We showcase short documentary and narrative films that create positive self perceptions for African American youth. The foundation of these films work to elevate the research of Camille Cosby's book "Television's Imageable Influences" and Donald Bogle's book Primetime Blues, African Americans on Network Television. We aim to bring together people of different cultures and backgrounds in one place for the celebration of life, culture and diversity through our official selections of films. We strive to create a cradle to career atmosphere for young filmmakers and encourage positive images for social impact. Our mission is to empower lives by celebrating the power of media for social justice. FESTIVAL THEME - BUY, FIX UP, REBUILD THE BLOCK - Reclaiming Our Legacy Created as part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, Opportunity Zones are low-income census tracts that offer tax incentives to invest and hold capital gains in Zone assets or property.
