As part of the Gregg's summer Silent Film Series on view in the Black/Sanderson gallery through August 27, this presentation will focus on the work of African-American author, film director, and independent producer Oscar Micheaux during the silent film era and beyond. As part of a research-extensive land-grant university, the Gregg Museum of Art & Design inspires creativity, innovation, and the expression of ideas. Its permanent collection contains over 35,000 objects, and the museum presents several exhibitions a year.
