FREE COMMUNITY EVENT: Waterslide, Pony rides, Dunk tank, Gaming truck, Bounce houses, Vendors, Entertainment, Food trucks, and resources We were thrilled to learn that the Oglethorpe County School System will be able to provide all the necessary school supplies for all the children in the system using Covid-19 relief funds. What a wonderful gift this is for the families of Oglethorpe County! The Committee sees this a golden opportunity to focus our efforts on the festival atmosphere of Community Day, bringing together even more resources for our families and adding lots of new activities. We are having free eye exams, free haircuts, and including additional recreational activities: petting zoo, water slide, dunking tank, bounce houses and pony rides for the children. All activities are free except food trucks. We will have book bags, gifts, and water bottles for Oglethorpe County children PreK through high school. We will be checking students of OC off on a list. If your child attends a private school or is homeschooled; please bring proof of residence.
