Description

This unforgettable event will support the Best USA Sommelier Association, which selects the best sommelier in the United States. Join Doug Frost, Master of Wine and Master Sommelier, at Hermann Farm as we gather to celebrate and support the work of the Best USA Sommelier Association as it prepares to host its first national sommelier competition. A welcome reception will take place Friday evening at the Inn at Hermannhof featuring wines selected by Frost, paired with artisan cheeses and desserts. On Saturday, the day begins with breakfast at the Inn, followed by a wine tasting and cellar tour with Paul LeRoy, Hermannhof Winery's winemaker, and a beer tasting and lunch at Tin Mill Brewery. The main event will take place at Black Shire Distillery on the grounds of Hermann Farm, a historic 200-acre farm. Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy cocktails made with spirits distilled on site along with wines personally selected by Frost and paired with a five -course meal prepared by award-winning chef Bernie Lee. During the event, Frost will chat with Hermann Farm Curator Cat Neville about BUSA's founding and his vision for the organization. Prepare for some fun surprises and expect to enjoy outstanding wines. Please call the Inn at Hermannhof to reserve your room and mention that you're joining us for the BUSA fundraiser. Proceeds from each ticket will support BUSA in its efforts to raise the bar for American sommeliers on the international stage. The Best USA Sommelier Association (BUSA) exists to select the best sommelier in the United States. It will conduct and maintain the competition in order to choose the best sommelier in the USA. In doing so, it will be the de facto American chapter of the Association de la Sommelliere Internationale (ASI).
