We invite you to celebrate World Conservation Day and the 68th Anniversary Celebration of the Duval Soil and Water Conservation District. Join us for an evening in celebration of Duval County’s natural resources, wildlife and all of the ways we work together to conserve them. Attendees will enjoy an opportunity to network with their elected officials, local conservationists, community members, business owners and affiliate agencies. Duval Soil & Water Conservation District is pleased to honor the following Conservation Champions during the event as well. Former District Supervisors who have recently fulfilled their terms of service Hunter Anderson Ed Wright Duval Conservation Teacher of the Year 2020 (TBA) 2021 (TBA) Guest Speaker Kay Ehas, CEO of Groundwork Jacksonville Venue & COVID- 19 The celebration will take place along the St. John's River in the beautiful outdoor courtyard of the Garden Club of Jacksonville. Mask and vaccinations are highly encouraged. Please stay home if you are sick or have come into contact with anyone that with COVID-19. COVID-19 wavier to be completed by all attendees onsite. Tickets General Admission- Donation*. The DSWCD is a board of 5 elected supervisors, organized by concerned citizens of Duval County to help landowners and users to conserve land, water, forests, wildlife and related natural resources. The Mission of DSWCD is to deliver natural resources conservation technology and education to local landowners and users and to promote the wise use of land and best management practices that will conserve, improve and sustain the natural resources of Duval County. About World Conservation Day Observed on July 28 annually, World Nature Conservation Day is celebrated to acknowledge that a healthy environment is the foundation for a stable and healthy society. We can all be Conservation Champions on this day and everyday by being good stewards, continuous consumers and encouraging others to protect wildlife & natural resources as well.
