Description
Shop local this holiday in Brookside!
Shop Small Saturday is Saturday, November 28th and Brookside merchants will open their doors from 10 am to 5 pm to celebrate in the historic Brookside Shops. Brookside business owners hope area residents and visitors alike will show their support and shop local during Small Business Saturday. You might not realize it, but every time you buy a gift from your favorite Brookside shop, you're shopping small and making a difference. In fact, for every dollar spent at one of the Brookside shops and other small business in the U.S., approximately 67 cents stays in the local community. So when you Shop Small on Small Business Saturday—and all year long—it adds up to a big impact.
The Brookside Business Association is a voluntary organization whose purpose is to create and preserve a pleasant surrounding for conducting business in the Brookside Shops (started over 100 years ago in 1919) and serving our community. We accomplish this by, among other things, maintaining common parking areas, providing for landscaping and trash removal, promoting special activities and events like the Brookside Art Annual, and working with the City, Parks Department, Area Transportation Authority, tenants, property owners and neighborhood stakeholders.
