Description

Press release from the Town of Plymouth: July 7, 2021 The Town of Plymouth Department of Public Works ("DPW") seeks to notify residents and visitors that, starting on Monday, July 12, 2021, sidewalk contractor Lawrence Lynch, LLC will begin sidewalk and curb repair, prior to the final paving of North Street. Barring inclement weather and unforeseen circumstances, work is expected to take place on weekdays between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please note the following: On-street parking will be limited and, in some areas, temporarily restricted before and during the hours of road construction. Traffic barrels and signage will be in place to alert motorists and pedestrians of said restrictions. Access to private property, public parking lots and private driveways will be maintained during construction. We ask that you drive carefully and be alert to activity in the area. The final paving dates for North Street will be scheduled, following the necessary sidewalk repairs. The Town will issue an updated press release with the schedule for the final pavement activities. The DPW will deploy message boards to alert motorists of the forthcoming work. During the scheduled work, the DPW and the contractor will make every effort to keep traffic flowing, but detours may be required. In such instances, the DPW will work with the contractor and the Plymouth Police Department's detail officers on the placement of barrels and detour signage, to keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible. The public is advised to drive with caution and plan for traffic delays and temporary access restrictions. The Town appreciates the community's patience during these important roadway improvement projects. General questions may be directed to the DPW's Engineering Division at (508) 747-1620, ext. 10199, during the DPW Office's normal business hours, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This press release was produced by the Town of Plymouth.
