NORTHPORT, NY — Christopher Calma, 50, who went missing in Northport Bay while fishing with his teenage son earlier in the week, was found dead in the bay on Thursday, Suffolk police said.
Calma was with his 14-year-old son on a 2020 22-foot Sea Fox Commander when he fell into the water around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, police said. Calma's son was not injured, police said.
Calma, who was not wearing a life jacket, could not swim, Harbor Master Fred Uvena told News 12.
While the Coast Guard suspended its search over the weekend, Suffolk police continued searching until Calma was found.
