A free book signing celebration, fundraiser and presentation of a special proclamation for Ariell Johnson, the owner of Amalgam Comics. Howard (author of Why Wakanda Matters: What Black Panther Reveals about Psychology, Identity and Communication and free-lance writer for DC Comics), welcome/ kick-off of event. 2:10 – 2:30- Presentation of Council Citation to Ariell Johnson by Derek Green, Esq Councilmember At-Large.2:30 – 3:00 – Presentation on Black Mental Health, Self-care and Empowerment (Speaker TBD) 3:00 – 4:00pm – Why Wakanda Matters: What Black Panther Reveals about Psychology, Identity and Communication book signing with Dr. Howard/ meet and greet. *** In support of Black-owned businesses, this event will include tables/ vending for attendees to purchase merchandise /goods.
