Rehoming Beagle Mix

Auburn GA

Description

After much agonizing, it is with a heavy heart that I am considering rehoming my dog. Both my personal and professional life have been turned upside down and become chaotic this past year, and having a dog has become largely untenable. She has had to spend too much time alone lately and she deserves a better life. If I am unable to find a perfect owner/environment for her, then I will not rehome her. I plan on being very picky and thoroughly interviewing and background checking any potential new owners. She is about 7 years old, about 35 pounds, and is very friendly and generally does well with other dogs, but may not be great with small children because of her high energy. She would not do well with cats or any other animals. She can be a bit of a handful to take care of -- she's high energy, a good escape artist, and sometimes displays symptoms of separation anxiety. She has been through dog school and is very smart and usually well-behaved, but can also be very stubborn at times. Serious inquiries only. A reasonable rehoming fee will be charged to discourage irresponsible owners. And please provide me with a description of yourself and why you think you will be able to provider her with an excellent environment.
