This position is primarily responsible for completing the quarterly and flooring work for various buildings contracted with Coastal Custodial. Flooring responsibilities include pre-treating and shampooing carpets, water extraction, stripping, waxing, and buffing hard-floors. Other standard responsibilities include high dusting and window cleaning, and detail cleaning/scrubbing. When there is no flooring to be done, the janitor in this position can expect to do standard essential janitorial functions at various business contracted with Coastal Custodial. The janitor is NOT responsible for using their vehicle to get to various work sites but must be an insured driver with a current driver’s license to operate company vehicle. FLOORING SPECIALIST DUTIES: -Must transport and operate various water extractor, stripper, and wax machines -Deep vacuum and pre-treat of carpets -Water extraction/shampooing of carpets -Stripping hard floor -Waxing hard floor -High dusting that includes ladder work -High window washing that includes ladder work -Detail cleaning -Must have the ability to lift up to 60 lbs JANITORIAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Must be able to pass background check and drug test - Must be able to work independently or on a team - Must have a valid driver’s license - Must have the ability to lift up to 30 lbs - Must be able to follow direction both verbally and written. - Have strong decision-making ability - Must be flexible - Must be able to consistently complete high-quality work product. - Primarily morning hours (including possible weekends - depending on assignment) Please send cover letter and resume.
