MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester officials have completed revised preliminary design plans for a project to reconstruct part of Gardner Street.
The work is slated for Gardner between Fern Street and a spot 400 feet north of Line Street. The plan is to reconstruct the roadway, install concrete curbing and construct a 6-foot wide bituminous concrete path, officials said. Revisions to the original plan include a narrower road width — 18 feet as opposed to 20 feet — and reduced grading impacts and tree clearing.
Town officials have scheduled a public informational meeting for 6:30 p.m. on July 21 in the Hearing Room of Lincoln Center, 494 Main St.
The agenda will include a review the revised plans and gathering "any remaining comments."
