Description
ANNAPOLIS, MD — Police said they found a loaded gun Tuesday during an Annapolis traffic stop near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Officers noted that they arrested the accused passenger from Gulfport, Mississippi.
An off-duty officer spotted the silver Honda minivan on westbound U.S. Route 50 around 1:11 a.m., an incident report added. That car matched the description of one that was stolen from Glen Burnie about two hours prior, the write-up detailed.
Authorities mentioned that they stopped the van but realized it was not the missing vehicle. The driver then reported that there was a loaded gun in the car, the press release continued.
Officers informed that they found a loaded SCCY model CPX-2 9-mm pistol and nine bullets in the minivan. The Anne Arundel County Police Department identified the arrestee as 38-year-old Alain Alvarez.
