Please stop flagging my post, thank you :) Mavis is an excellently tempered, well mannered farm dog. She is 4 month old Great Pyrenees and she’s already doing a great job at being a guard dog. Ms.Mavis is good with Chickens, Goats, Horses, Cats and other Dogs, she has been raised around all of the above and has been trained to behave and listen to her “people”. She’s doing well with her commands, especially when she’s on leash, and is highly treat motivated. She is locked up at night and is fed, and then let out to roam with the goats during the day. She’s very alert and will let you know if there’s an unfamiliar person on your land, but is not and never has been aggressive towards humans or other dogs. She’s more likely to stand by you and guard rather than chase something off. She is trained to potty outside if you decide to keep her in the house, and is up to date on all vaccines except for Lepto, I haven’t been able to book an appointment at the vet due to the holidays and them being overwhelmed. She has not been spayed yet as she is only 4mos old and it’s best to wait to spay/neuter until at least 1 year with large breeds. She loads and rides well in the car, and is obedient during baths. She is still considered a puppy, and will need to have her training continued, boundaries will need to be reinforced when you introduce her in your house or on your farm. Expect for her to test your patience at first, it’s part of their nature as pack animals. I would love to discuss anything you have questions about!
