NEW LENOX, IL — Republicans running on the Citizens for New Lenox Township slate had a strong election Tuesday, as all the slate's candidates are the projected winners for their races. The projected winners include: Dave Medema as township clerk; Ronald Sly as highway commissioner; Philip Juarez as township collector; and Martin Boban, Barbara Kaupas, Kathy Hilton and Patricia Deiters as township trustees. You can find the unofficial vote totals below: Tuesday's election results are unofficial until certified by the county on April 27. Provisional Ballots cast on Election Day and all late Vote By Mail Ballots postmarked by Election Day will be counted at Provisional Count on April 20, according to the county clerk. 20 out of 20 precincts reporting: Township clerk Dave Medema -2,837 Maureen Flanagan Broderick - 1,312 Township highway commissioner David Maine - 1,174Ronald Sly - 3,159 Township collector Sheila Corrigan - 1,475Philip Juarez - 2,758 Township trustee (vote for four) Alex Vancina - 1,383Michelle De Bella Monbrod - 1,280Laura Kinnan - 1,294Michelle Fadeley - 1,297Martin Boban - 2,852Barbara Kaupas - 2,877Kathy Hilton - 2,733Patricia Deiters - 2,711 The races for township supervisor and assessor were uncontested. Wennlund, Medema, Sly, Hernandez, Juarez, Boban, Kaupas, Hilton and Deiters ran as Republicans, and as a part of the Citizens for New Lenox Township slate.
