Description

Press release from the City of Las Vegas: Jul 07, 2021 At the city of Las Vegas, we take the safety of our residents and neighborhoods seriously. We have a process for reporting dangerous buildings and our team investigates each case. Currently, the period for the demolition of an abandoned property is approximately 90-120 days. The city will work with property owners who are addressing safety issues as long as the owner keeps the property clean, secure and safe. Designating a building as dangerous can include criteria like: In 2020, we had 261 dangerous building designations, which resulted in 20 demolitions. So far in 2021, we have had 147 designations with 9 demolitions. If you have concerns about a building in your neighborhood, you can submit a complaint by calling 702-229-6615 or emailing [email protected]. This press release was produced by the City of Las Vegas.
