ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports: Attempted shoplifting A man tried to shoplift items about 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mariano's, 678 N. York St. He dropped the items after he was confronted. He left in an unknown direction. He was described as white, about 50 years old, 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, having gray hair, and wearing a blue mask, gray T-shirt, blue jeans and black and white shoes. Damage at Berens Park Damage to tents was reported as happening between 5 p.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Monday at Berens Park, 493 N. Oaklawn Ave. Fugitive driver An officer tried to stop a speeding car about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday at Roosevelt and York. The driver sped away, last seen heading south on Interstate 294. Bicycle found An officer took possession of a Next brand girls bicycle near Vallette and Cedar about 8 p.m. Wednesday. The bike was in poor condition and placed into evidence for safekeeping. Tripped over curb A woman tripped over a curb about 11 a.m. Wednesday at Vallette and Division, injuring her foot and knee. She refused medical treatment. Driving violations Pierre Martin, 25, of Justice, was cited about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Butterfield and Route 83 on charges of driving with a suspended license, no valid registration and unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver. He was released on bond. Israel Cisneros, 31, of Chicago, was cited about 4 p.m. Tuesday at North and Interstate 290 on charges of driving with a revoked license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver. He was released on bond. Nasrin Mousavi, 56, of Bensenville, was cited about 11 p.m. Tuesday at Grand and Industrial on charges of driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle with a suspended registration. She was released on bond. Kevin Ladewig, 48, of Lombard, was arrested about 4 p.m. Wednesday at North and Walnut on DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrants and charges of resisting a police officer (two counts), obstructing identification, no valid driver's license, failure to wear a seat belt, failure to properly restrain a child and failure to signal when required. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. He failed to provide any form of identification and was described as uncooperative. Police report information is provided by local police departments.
