WESTLAKE, OH — After the long, hard days of 2020, when a future of parades and fireworks seemed impossible to imagine, the return of Westlake's Independence Day celebration was a welcome respite for residents.
This year's long-awaited parade began at 1 p.m. on Sunday and started at Burneson Middle School, on Dover Center Road. The parade motored down the road before moving onto Hilliard Boulevard and heading east toward Clague Park.
Following the parade, a July 4th celebration filled Clague Park, with balloon artists, face painters, live music, food trucks and more.
