Press release from the City of Scottsdale: July 15, 2021 Following are significant road construction projects and traffic restrictions occurring in Scottsdale July 16 - 25. Loop 101 improvement project The Arizona Department of Transportation is widening and improving Loop 101 from Interstate 17 in Phoenix to Pima Road in Scottsdale. Lane restrictions near Via Linda and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard Multiple lane restrictions will occur on or near Via Linda from Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard to Shea Boulevard 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, July 16, for utility work. Westbound Mountain View Road restricted near 84th Street (new) Westbound Mountain View Road will be reduced to one lane from 87th Place to Arabian Trail July 19 - Sept. 24 for concrete work. During those same dates Mountain View Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 84th Street. Westbound Thomas Road reduced to one lane at 61st Place (new) Westbound Thomas Road will be reduced to one lane at 61st Place July 19 - Aug. 20 for utility work. During those same dates 61st Place will be closed in both directions at Thomas Road 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Northbound Scottsdale Road restricted north of McDowell Road Northbound Scottsdale Road will be reduced to one lane immediately north of McDowell Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 9 - 23 for road work. McDowell Road restricted between 64th Street and Scottsdale Road McDowell Road will be reduced to two lanes in each direction between 64th Street and Scottsdale Road June 9 - Aug. 31 for road work.
