Description

Under the direction and supervision of the Western Colorado Research Center Manager, this individual provides a range of custodial services to building occupants including but not limited to: * Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms * Removal of trash and recyclable materials * Window and entry glass cleaning * Floor maintenance including vacuuming, spot cleaning and extracting of carpeted floors and vacuuming mopping, scrubbing, burnishing, stripping and refinishing of hard surface floors. In addition, this position will work with existing staff and faculty to provide facility support and building and landscape maintenance and repairs. That may include: * Keeping exterior walkways clear of debris and snow, loading and unloading furniture, equipment, and supplies, and setting up tables and chairs for events. * Maintenance and repair work will include but not be limited to adjustments to door controls, cabinets and audio/visual equipment, maintenance of appliances, window hardware, locks, and irrigation system repairs and winterization. * Additional tasks could include repairing minor damage to a wall and adding a corner wall protector, using a state vehicle to pick up or drop off supplies, installing bird mitigation at outside of buildings, replacing a washer on a leaking sink faucet, relocating flowerpots or repairing the drip line that waters them, replace fluorescent light bulbs as needed.
