Seeking a highly organized and detail oriented individual, to assist with all shipping and receiving for a growing online furniture business. Ideal candidate is well spoken, customer service oriented and capable of routinely lifting 100+ pounds. Tasks may include, but not limited to… Receiving and inspecting orders. Organizing incoming orders for quick turnaround and shipment to customers. Inventory management and warehouse organization. Ensure availability and procurement of shipping materials. Pre-building and quality control/inspecting custom furniture items. Properly packaging and preparing items for safe transit via. Motor Freight. Palletizing shipments. Booking freight shipments. Communicating tracking and shipping information to customers. Handling of all freight claims for damaged shipments. Reviewing freight invoices for Accounts Payable. Working directly with e-commerce manager on objectives and priority. Ideal Candidate is/has: Valid Drivers License and clean driving record. Previous freight shipping experience. Customer service oriented, friendly and well spoken. Strong and capable of routinely lifting 100+ lbs. Extremely detail oriented. Handy and comfortable with power tools (skil-saws, table saws, drills, etc.) Ability to learn quickly, adapt and develop methods for shipping best practices. Self starter and works well without direction or supervision. Works with the intention of accomplishing a task quickly, but also doing so right the first time. Motivated to help grow a business and develop the shipping end of an e-commerce business. Pay is dependent upon experience. Hours will be typical work week hours with some flexibility based upon current work-load. Lots of room for growth for those that are motivated, have an aptitude for improving upon systems already in place and routinely improve upon the daily processes within the shipping department.
