ASI Hastings Inc has an immediate need for enthusiastic, self-motivated and HPC Installation Assistant. Successful candidates are organized, able to perform in a fast-paced environment, and able to efficiently multi-task. This is an hourly, non-exempt, at-will position. Must be available to work full shifts plus overtime. Summary of Essential Job Functions • Load bags of cellulose insulation that weigh 28 pounds each, typically loading 30 to 60 bags per job as needed. • Set up insulation blowing machines already mounted in trucks, including hoses, electrical hook up, and blow in cellulose insulation. • Install tyvek house wrap on kneewalls in attic. • Air sealing attic with foam products, areas include top plates of walls, wire penetrations, pluming penetrations open sofitts, etc. • Blocking of can lights with fire rated cardboard boxes or flashing if boxes cannot be used. • Drill holes in walls and dense pack walls with insulation. • Install ventilation baffles. • Install bath fans. • Install pop up coffins for pulldown stairs. • Demo old duct work with knife, snips, and hammers if needed. • Secure ducts to furnace. • Use of hand tools that require grasping. • General cleanup of work area. • Use of power tools such as drills, circular saws, sawsalls, hole saws, jackhammers/rotohammers, etc. • Occasional use of respirators. Skills and Abilities Requirement • Technical skills. • Customer service skills. • Time management. • Ability to learn and apply new procedures and techniques. • Able to safely lift up to 100lbs, able to work in extreme weather conditions, able to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, squat or crawl often times in confined spaces.
