Meet the charming Astro, who is out of this world! Astro is a 2.5 year old, 40 lb, male Australian Cattle dog/Border Collie mix (we think?), that is house trained and crate trained. Astro would make a great running, hiking or biking buddy, he has the need for speed and is an active boy. He can also chill, he isn’t destructive in the foster home when left alone, and loves belly rubs, toys he can chew, and both men and women, though not children (they scare him and he would do best with no small kids). Astro is good with other dogs, but can be bossy, so he would prefer to be the only dog in the home. He is very smart, treat motivated (very easy to train!) and loves to learn new things. His foster mom says he is the smartest dog she has ever trained! Very tolerant, sweet dog. Currently he's at a doggie day care place that specializes in herding dogs where he's getting incredible socialization training and leash walking skills. He plays very well with other dogs and walks on a leash like a pro! His foster mom lives in Glendale and is willing to do meet and greets in Los Angeles and Orange County. If you are looking for an active, loving companion that has the ‘big dog look’ in a 40 lb package, Astro might be the pup for you! His adoption fee of $250.00 includes his neuter, microchip and current vaccinations.
