Iso a puppy or young dog

I am looking for a puppy or young dog to love. My 3 year old needs a pet he can actually interact with. We have a cat but she's not social at all, especially with the kids. We have fish, but obviously he can't pet them either. We have a huge yard, plenty of room for doggo to run around. And I am a stay at home mom so I have all the time in the world to train and take care of the pup. Only preferences are male and not a chihuahua.
