Department: PSSI Chemical Innovations Job Status: Full Time FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt Reports To: Production Manager Work Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM M-F Amount of Travel Required: N/A Positions Supervised: N/A The Production Packager position is an entry level position responsible for basic blending and packaging cleaners and sanitizers that are used to clean food processing plants on a nightly basis. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES To be successful in the Production Packager position, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation: Adherence to safe and efficient manufacturing practices. Work with team members to achieve common goals. Follow mixing procedures and directions for blending and processing of raw materials. Package finished goods into totes, drums, pails, and jugs. Ability to follow basic operating procedures for light and medium duty equipment. Clean, operate, and maintain equipment in area including totes, pumps, fillers, conveyors, cappers, induction sealers, re-torquers, labelers, tapers accumulation tables, printers, and lift tables as needed. Be able to meet physical demands outlined below (some lifting to 50 lbs.). Work in a wet environment, capable of wearing full personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist in the unloading of truckloads of empty drums. Other job duties as assigned by the production manager. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Follow all company guidelines on safety in the workplace. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Desire and ability to work with other team members. Attention to detail. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS High School Graduate or GED. Basic shop skills, such as using hand tools. Chemical blending and packaging experience. WORK ENVIRONMENT Plant environment - job requires wearing personal protective equipment (plastic bibs, jacket, gloves, face mask and rubber boots). PPE will be provided.
