Description
Let me get this out of the way: I AM NOT A BREEDER.
I have a fish pond with shabunkin goldfish, comets, and three koi. And because you can't neuter fish, they make babies every year. Healthy fish make more fish. That's just how things work. The problem is that if I leave them in the pond, my pond will become overpopulated, and that's not good.
So I'm giving away this year's babies, and a couple of last year's babies who are about 4 to 5 inches long now. I brought some inside to my aquariums so I could enjoy them as babies, and so I could photograph them. Some of them are obviously goldfish, and I'm pretty sure some of them are koi. The ones that are kinda dull and brown are normal for baby goldfish. They get their adult colors after a few months. The dull brownish color is their juvenile coloration. I have no guarantees about the colors they'll turn out.
I have a couple of stipulations. IF you intend to keep them as pets, you need an adequate setup. Goldfish need a good-sized aquarium or a pond. Koi need a pond.
If you're looking for free feeder goldfish... yes, I'm okay with that. It's the circle of life. These fish are healthy with no signs of parasites.
