What You Need: Provide optimum customer service in all areas of Material Handling to include shipping and receiving activities. Responsibilities: - Delivers USPS Mail, inter-office mail and packages. Adheres to strict deadlines and accuracy requirements. Solves problems by following clearly defined procedures. - Receives shipments, verifies and processes orders through database and confirms accuracy of order compliance. - Drives GSA vehicles as needed. - Effectively handles heavy materials and equipment for extended periods of time. Moves heavy furniture for inter-office and intra-office relocations. - Special Conference Set-ups - Special projects as assigned. What You Need: Education and Years of Experience - High School diploma and 1-2 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: - Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Basic skill in the use of word processing and spreadsheet applications. - Excellent customer relation skills. Excellent communication skills. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to adapt to changing workload and task assignments. - Skill in setting priorities and meeting deadlines. - Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds. - Ability to lift, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time. - Ability to frequently work overtime and irregular hours. - Acceptable driving record per UCAR requirements.
