Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service. Delivery Driver: A volunteer is need to deliver meals in Kirkland on Thursday mornings, every other week. Delivery drivers pick up meals around 10 am and are typically done with their route in 1.5 hours. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in volunteering longer term. Training is provided and mileage is reimbursable while making deliveries. Qualifications: Good communication and people skills, reliable, good cheer, and a commitment to the well-being of homebound elders. This is an on-going volunteer commitment. Requirements: Complete an application, consent to a background check, be able to lift 15lbs, be at least 18 years of age, and have a Washington state driver’s license and auto insurance.
