Looking to put together a band to play local bars, flea markets, etc. in the Veneta/Eugene area. Genre: Covers of popular classic rock, jazz standards, 70's stuff like Al Green, and other familiar tunes you might hear at an outdoor festivals. Thinking things like The Eagles, CCR, and standards like "Beyond the Sea" and "The Way You Look Tonight." Instruments: Right now I play guitar and have a female vocalist who can possibly double on keys. I can switch to bass if need be and do some back up male vocals. We are interested in drums/percussion, guitar, bass, woodwinds, brass, or keys. Goal: Practice generally once a week to play through the set. Find some local establishments to play recurring gigs. That is about it, nothing fancy. If you are interested in making some music and enjoy playing with good musicians then this would be a good fit. Open to your suggestion for covers. Thanks
