Are you fluent in (spoken) English and Spanish? Would you like a quick weekend gig where you can use your bilingual skills to engage with others and give back to the community while earning some extra cash? Join us in East Austin this Saturday, July 10 at our back-to-school event from 8:30 AM - 4 PM! You'll be helping out at an event for a charter school that gives low income and at risk youth the opportunity to be exposed to an education, to further their opportunities in life, and attend and excel at top universities! We are seeking bilingual candidates to translate at a back to school event. Many parents speak Spanish as a first language, so translators are asked to assist in communication between parents and teachers/administrators. No training or experience is needed for this role -- just the ability to translate from spoken English to spoken Spanish and back! Pay: $16/hr Requirements: - Must be fluent in English and Spanish (speaking/listening). - Friendliness and professionalism suited to a customer-facing role. - Timeliness and commitment -- the parents and teachers are relying on you to be there! - Interest or experience in education is ideal, but not required! - Applicants will be required to undergo a background check as this is a school environment and children may be present.
