Description

Hands on position supervising a year-round crew with landscape maintenance services as well as performing planning, administrative and regulatory functions. Primary Responsibilities • Supervise and train maintenance crews on all aspects of landscape maintenance services • Mowing, raking, digging and weeding of landscapes • Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks • Schedule and monitor daily work load • Plan, coordinate, and collect equipment and materials each day • Attend and participate in crew and department general and safety meetings • Prepare timesheets and other daily paperwork as required by the company • Safe driving of company owned vehicles trucks (with or without trailers) and transporting crew members • Safe operation and maintenance of the following equipment o Mowers - Push, walk behind and riding o Tillers, aerators, slit seeders o Edgers, string trimmers and chain saws o Backpack blowers and sprayers o Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes and pruning tools o On occasion wheel tractors Qualifications • Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others • Ability to lift 50 pounds • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and present yourself in a clean and polite manner • Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment. • Ability to work arounds bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other environmental risks. • Have a valid NC driver’s license and maintain a good driving record (CDL preferred) • Must be able to pass a criminal background check • Must wear work boots
