My father is in a nursing home. He put himself there over a decade ago, why? Because he wants to cry woo is me. He wants people to treat him like a baby. Before he was admitted he used to bitch and moan that he could not walk for far distances, and had to use a cane. I can't tell you how many times I caught him walking without a cane, perfectly. His neighbors have told me that they have seen him walking miles away from his apartment. (lives in manhattan). He went from doctor to doctor complaining about back pain, and demanding an operation. After years of doing this he finally got a quack to do it, and how he claims his back is worst!!! Karma. I got him a cell, and he misplaced it, next thing I know I get a bill for calls to Africa, his Nigerian prince I guess! I got stuck paying the bill. He NEVER calls anyone, he just wants everyone to call him, a bit of a Narcissist. Problem is that most of his family want nothing or little to do with him. I visited him today, takes me 4 hours to do the round trip. I offered to call the one sister, and brother who do talk to him, but he refused, let them call me! I called both, sister declined the call, Brother spoke to him for all of 2 mintues because my father rushed him off. I supply him with a list of things once a month that he gave me. Toothpaste, snacks, etc. He just takes it, and rushes me off, dismisses me with his hand, like a king, "You can go now", after ten minutes into the visit. Btw he used to mentally and physically abused me as a child. Still have the physical scars from his belt. You know the two issues that I am wrestling with is should I even bother to see him. The reason I do, is that he's not long for this earth. And should I burden myself with his funeral expenses. There is no one to attend it when the time comes. Maybe let him be buried in a plotters field. It would be my final fuk u to him for all the bad he's done to me.
