At the center of it all is Mikey Lion, the dusty prince of desert hearts, a beacon of weird far and wide, and one of this generation’s most compelling agents of love. ➡️ About Well Deserved Well Deserved is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. In Africa, they work alongside a local nonprofit and infrastructure departments to build wells in under-served villages in Zambia & Zimbabwe. Village wells ensure that children (and their families) have access to clean drinking water, better hygiene, nutrition, and sanitation. The wells impact the lives of girls and women the most, as it’s women who are often sent walking on 6+ mile journeys! For the girls, by the time they return they are either too tired for homework, have missed school completely, or the trek was fraught with wild animals or unsavory characters. And for the moms, they have spent half their day collecting water. Village wells are crucial. They keep the girls safe and educated, giving them the tools for a productive, employable future.
