Description
The Parental Rights & Homeschool Summit is a must attend event for ALL parents of school-aged children. This is a FREE informational event. This important informational event was developed to advance a better understanding of "parental rights" and answer the most common questions and concerns of parents that are apprehensive to homeschool their children. As Public School Districts continue to replace fundamental teachings that parents have come to expect with non-scholastic inclusions, cultural theories, and political initiatives, it's not surprising that we're seeing record increases in homeschooling. Here are just a few of the major items on the agenda for this fantastic event.... PARENTAL RIGHTS - Public School Districts have gotten very arrogant and pushy regarding their role(and your role) with respect to raising your children. If you're going to enroll your kids in the public school, you should be fully aware of what your rights are and when the school district has exceeded theirs. HOMESCHOOL RESOURCES - The amount AND QUALITY of resources available to modern homeschoolers is absolutely amazing! We've gathered together some of the best resources and ideas in the homeschool community and will be sharing them with guests.HOMESCHOOL CO-OP's - There are many organized collaboratives of parents (and professionals) scattered throughout the Commonwealth. Guests will be able to meet and talk with representatives of some of these groups to learn about the exciting activities and resources they utilize. WITHDRAWAL / ED-PLAN - We'll be going over the few simple steps to withdrawing your children from the public school system and share advice on preparing your required Ed-Plan. SOCIALIZING - We know how important it is to save some time for socializing and networking with new friends, so we've put aside some special time for simply meeting the speakers and asking questions. The agenda will include a variety of knowledgeable and professional speakers that will cover the topics highlighted above. We've reached out to all the associated state and national homeschool advocacy groups for involvement. We also want to encourage all homeschool co-ops to set up a exhibit table at this event and introduce yourselves. Thank you in advance for your time and attention to this important event. Please share this widely and we look forward to seeing you there on August 21st. In Liberty, Event Committee
