Do you want to learn more about duck calling? Join DWR and special guest Bret Wonnacott for a two-part seminar.
The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is teaming with five-time Utah state duck calling champion and author Bret Wonnacott to offer a two-part duck calling seminar. The seminar will be held Aug. 5 and Aug. 12 at the Eccles Wildlife Education Center, 1157 S. Waterfowl Way in Farmington. It runs from 7-8:30 p.m. each evening.
To participate, you’ll need to bring a single reed or modern Arkansas style double reed duck call with you. You’ll study the call as an instrument and learn how to maintain it. You’ll also learn how to build a foundation of basic, practical calls that you can use while duck hunting.
On Aug. 5, you’ll learn some basic calling techniques that you can practice before the next session. At the Aug. 12 session, Wonnacott will go into more advanced calling techniques.
The event is limited to the first 20 people who preregister. Please make sure you are able to attend both dates before you register.
